Cattle Purchase Program

Snow Valley Farms, Inc. allows ten families to purchase a steer for their private consumption. Our cattle purchase program allows your family a more personal look at the process of growing and providing food in the way of generations past.

Your steer will produce approximately 700 pounds of high quality products for your freezer. We generally process our cattle at approximately 1200 to 1400 pounds and we have found that the quality cuts of prime beef range in the 60% area when bones and residues are trimmed. We produce nothing lower than high choice beef. We suggest that any weight conscious clients direct the trimming process rather than lower their standards for beef.

The Services associated with the purchase of this single head of cattle are as follows.

1. We will purchase a pure bred Black Angus calf/steer of high quality for our client. The will be started, weaned, neutered, inoculated against illness, and inspected prior to entering Snow Valley property.
2. The steer will be veterinarian inspected on Snow Valley property to ensure the health and wholesomeness of the animal.
3. The animal will be ear tagged for identification purposes.
4. Snow Valley Farms will feed, water, care, control, oversee processing in the State inspected processing plant, and deliver all finished products to the client.
5. We will provide regular news letters covering the farm activities, steer progress, recipes, stories, and happening of the community.
6. Snow Valley Farms will send samples of our products for evaluation to clients participating in our 1997 evaluation program.
7. Each family will be invited to the Snow Valley Farms Inc. Family Day at the Farm.

We grow only prime oriented Black Angus Cattle because we feel they produce the best taste, consistency, and wholesome end products.
